For those who have completed a PCL-R, Dr. Meloy and Mr. Van der Meer offer a third day on the application of psychopathy to investigative (operational) psychology.

It will be explained why understanding psychopathy, and being able to assess the phenomenon is of importance for understanding violent crime.

Participants will be invited to actively take part in analyzing 2 criminal cases in detail with a focus upon the severity and nature of psychopathy in each case, and how it is manifest in criminal evidence, the offender profile, and when interrogating the suspect. The cases will be intensively studied through the use of crime scene evidence, history of the perpetrators, criminal investigative findings and interviews.
